Firstly- tell us about your dress?
I went for the Martina Liana 905 dress. When I began dress shopping I tried on lots of different styles as I hadn't a clue what I wanted, but I did know what I didn't want! I went to a few different dress shops and I was really torn between 2 dresses. I think I went back to look at and try on the Martina Liana dress around 4 times before saying yes to the dress. I absolutely loved the dress but as I am so indecisive I found it was such a difficult decision to make. The dress that I bought for my big day was actually a dress that Carole in Pearls & Lace told me to try on and I am so glad that she did. I remember the reactions of those that I had brought with me when they saw me in this dress, I knew there was something special about it! I tried not to look at it too much before the wedding but when I put it on, on the morning of the wedding, I fell in love with it all over again!

I kept all of my wedding accessories quite simple as I wanted everything to compliment the dress. I was aiming for an elegant look for our big day. Before I had decided on anything else I knew I wanted a deep red rose bouquet. I wore my hair down and waved, I wore a simple ivory tulle cathedral length veil and after the meal, before the dancing began I pinned bits of my hair up loosely and wore a simple hair vine, that I bought in store. I wore tear drop diamond earrings to compliment my engagement ring and a simple diamond bracelet. I wore metallic ice (silvery gold) Jimmy Choo sandals and had a small silver diamond box clutch bag. I kept my eye make up simple and I added a deep red lip to compliment the rose bouquet. For some of the photographs I wore a blush coloured ostrich feather jacket.
The Bridal Party
As it was a New Year's Eve we had a black tie wedding. The men looked very handsome as they wore a navy tuxedo with a black lapel, a black bow tie and black shoes and a white shirt. John had black buttons on his white shirt and different shoes so he was slightly different from the groomsmen. Our page boy wore a checkered waistcoat and trousers, a white shirt with a black bow tie, a black jacket and black converse. My beautiful bridesmaids wore ballet pink True Bride bridesmaid dresses, which we also purchased in Pearls & Lace. Their dresses were off the shoulder and had lace detail and buttons down the back. They also had a slight train, making them look even more elegant. The girls wore a matching colour fur over their shoulders until they got into the church and for photographs. They wore silver barely there sandals, tear drop earrings that were both diamonds and pearls, a simple diamond bracelet. For their hairstyle we opted for a soft, simple upstyle. Their bouquets were a combination of blush and deep red flowers.

Advice for other Brides
Although it's easier said than done, try not to stress. Get all of the big things organised and you will eventually get everything else done. The time will fly by so enjoy all of the preparation and planning as it is such an exciting time. On the day of your wedding, forget about everything else and enjoy the day as it goes by too quickly. Live in the moment and be happy.
What was your most memorable moment of your special day?
Both John and I were so delighted to be surrounded by so many people that mean so much to us both. We had such an amazing bridal party and our families were by our sides. We had no worries and we enjoyed every minute of our special day. Before the ceremony we both experienced a mixture of emotions, but once we saw each other we felt nothing but happiness! We both smiled and laughed for the whole day and it was the best feeling in the world!
Congratulations from everyone at Pearls & Lace Bridal We wish you both all the best for the future Xx
