From off the shoulder illusion sleeves to full lace detail, wedding dresses with sleeves are a major bridal trend for 2020 & 2021 weddings. One of the most iconic wedding dress styles, long sleeve wedding dresses have been worn by style icons such as Grace Kelly, Kate Middleton and Audrey Hepburn and given a modern twist by the likes of Olivia Palermo and Poppy Delevinge. They can be classic or whimsical and romantic to full out boho. One of the questions we get asked most frequently in the boutique is ‘ I love long sleeves but I am getting married in July, are long sleeve dresses more for winter weddings’? There has never been more options in fabric for brides and this includes long sleeves. We have many light weight dresses with a sleeve in the boutique which are perfect for summer weddings or even weddings abroad where the climates are warmer. Many long sleeve dresses feature illusion tulle which is sheer and light weight and alot of them have open or low backs which also makes them more suited to warmer days. And of course they are incredibly popular for winter weddings for brides getting married in  colder weather who’d prefer not to wear a shrug or cover up their dresses.
